Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses

The OSH unit in Research & Planning with the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services in cooperation with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics
(BLS) conducts the annual Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses (SOII). This survey gathers information which produces summary estimates
of the number and frequency (incidence rates--definitions can be found in the BLS Glossary) as well as case characteristics of nonfatal workplace
injuries and illnesses. For data on fatal occupational injuries and illnesses, see the Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries.
