Initial Unemployment Insurance Claims: 2000 to 2011
Initial unemployment insurance (UI) claims have steadily declined since peaking during the state's economic downturn in 2009. However, the number of initial UI claims filed in 2011 was still considerably higher than at any point since 2000.
