June 1997 Trends:

Wyoming's economy continues to show little change. Local Area Unemployment Statistics employment estimates showed a 0.2 percent increase from April 1996 to April 1997 while the labor force decreased by 0.2 percent over the year. Current Employment Statistics estimates showed a 0.3 percent increase in nonagricultural employment during the same time period. Unemployment insurance initial and continued claims also showed decreases from April 1996 (15.6% and 21.8%, respectively). --GCE
