Civilian Labor Force and Unemployment:
National, Statewide, Regional, and Counties


Wyoming (statewide) and most of its counties had lower unemployment rates in December 1997 than in December 1996. Exceptions were: Washakie, Crook, Laramie, Niobrara, and Platte Counties (higher rates), and Sheridan and Albany Counties (unchanged rates).

NOTE: The 1996 annual average unemployment rate for Wyoming was estimated at 5.0 percent. A 90 percent confidence interval around this estimate suggests that in 9 out of 10 cases the actual rate would fall between 4.4 and 5.6 percent.
