Job Description

Substitute Teachers supervise a classroom when the teacher of record is absent. They are hired by the school district where they will substitute teach.


Requirements
1.  65 semester hours from an accredited college.
2.  Pass a U.S. Constitution & Wyoming Constitution exam or have taken a college course that is equivalent.


Restrictions

1.  Must take at least 5 credit hours of college course work to renew the license.

Substitute Teachers must have a Substitute Permit issued by the Professional Teaching Standards Board.


Examination
