Job Description
Nurse Practitioners are Registered Nurses with additional knowledge, skills, and education that enable them to work independently as health care providers.

1.  Must graduate from a Master's Degree program preparing them for Advanced Practice Specialization and be certified by a national accrediting agency.

All applications are reviewed by the State Board.

All applicants must be licensed by the State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and recognized to practice in an expanded role as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.

Each Additional Recognition $  70.00
Registered Nurse Initial License $135.00
Advanced Practitioner Renewal (*) $  70.00
Registered Nurse Renewal (*) $110.00
Prescriptive Authority (*) $  70.00
* All licenses are renewed Dec. 31 of even years : 2008, 2010, 2012, etc.
