Job Description
Nurse Practitioners are Registered Nurses with additional knowledge, skills, and education that enable them to work independently as health care providers.

Requirements
1.  Must graduate from a Master's Degree program preparing them for Advanced Practice Specialization and be certified by a national accrediting agency.

Restrictions
All applications are reviewed by the State Board.

All applicants must be licensed by the State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and recognized to practice in an expanded role as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
