Job Description
Mine shotfirers direct all the activities involved with the use of explosives at the mine site.

Requirements
1.  Must be 21 years of age.
2.  Must have two years documentable experience handling explosives under the direct supervision of a certified shotfirer. The experience must be at the type of mine that the applicant wishes to be certified.
3.  Must pass a written and oral examination

Restrictions
None.

School Located in Wyoming
Contact the State Mine Inspector for more information on available schooling or review classes.

License
All persons who direct blast site activities and do the actual blasting at the site must be certified. The competency certification is issued by the State Mine Inspector.

Examination
The examination is available upon completion of a proper application. Applications are available from the State Mine Inspector's office.
