WYOMING UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE WAGE RECORD SUMMARY STATISTICS

Wage record summary statistics were first published in Wyoming Labor Force Trends in May of 1995. The information presented in this issue of Trends shows changes that have been made to the wage record database since the end of June (the end of the second quarter of 1995). (See: "Wyoming Unemployment Insurance Wage Record Update" in the August 1995 issue.) These updates are caused by reports that have been delayed or corrected, and by late tax returns.

More accurate information becomes available each quarter as Research & Planning "downloads" the oldest quarter for analysis before it is dropped off the mainframe. The data presented below and at right is updated information. For example, data for first quarter 1994 has just become finalized as it has been removed from the mainframe computer. The other quarters have been adjusted as new information has become available since we first published the wage record summary statistics. After the end of December of this year (the end of the fourth quarter), the wage record data for second quarter 1994 will become finalized.

Research & Planning continues to monitor this data and we will provide the readers of Trends with updated information. We will also present information achieved through wage record analysis such as "Steady Work Pays Off" which was presented in the October 1995 issue. Refer to the May 1995 issue of Trends for a detailed explanation of wage records and potential uses of the data.
