Civilian Labor Force and Unemployment:
National, Statewide, Regional, and Counties

Every county but Washakie had a lower unemployment rate in May 1997 than in April (Washakie County had a very slight increase in its unemployment rate). Wyoming's statewide rate also declined from 5.2 percent in April to 4.4 percent in May. These decreases were fairly routine for this time of year.
