As you can see in the table (below), the Wyoming Total Nonagricultural Wage and Salary Employment Preliminary Benchmark for 1997 shows the highest annual average employment level ever recorded in Wyoming (223,800). The highest level recorded prior to 1997 occurred in 1981 (223,500).
