Wyoming County Projections

The county projections, like the statewide projections, were forecasted using Exponential Smoothing and Linear Regression. We used the historical period, from January 1989 through December 1996, to find a model to fit or predict the data series in the validation period, January 1997 through December 1997. Only 7.2 percent (20) of all the time series that were modeled produced an error more than 2 percent plus/minus.
