Job Description
Emergency Medical Technicians give immediate care to critically ill or injured persons and may transport them to hospitals. They determine the nature and extent of illness or injury and provide emergency medical care. There are three EMT levels: Certified EMT basic; EMT intermediate; and EMT paramedic.

Requirements
1.  Complete 156 hours of course work - minimum for EMT Basic.
2.  Pass written and practical examinations.

Restrictions
Convicted of a felony or crime against a person.

School Located in Wyoming

Courses are normally taught in communities. Contact the Office of Emergency Medical Services for specific information.

License
Emergency Medical Technicians must be certified at the state level by the Office of Emergency Medical Services. 

Examination
Examinations are administered upon completion of course work.
