Job Description
Claims adjusters review and process loss or damage claims made against insurance companies,
analyzing the claim to determine the limit of the company's responsibility. They gather
facts necessary in determining fair compensation. Methods of investigation vary with each case.
Requirements
1. Must be an adult.
2. Must be a Wyoming resident or a resident of a state which permits residents of
Wyoming to act as Adjusters in that state.
3. Must be trustworthy and of good reputation.
4. Must be a full-time salaried employee of a licensed adjuster, be a graduate of a
recognized law school or have experience dealing with loss claims.
5. Pass a written examination if not licensed in home state.
Restrictions
Professional misconduct.
School Located in Wyoming
There are no recognized insurance schools located in Wyoming.
License
A license is issued by the Wyoming Insurance Department.
Examination
The examination is administered by Prometric, LLC. Examinations are held
daily in Casper; Rapid City, SD; Scottsbluff, NE; and Salt Lake City, UT.
