Job Description
Barbers cut, style, and color hair to each customer’s preference. Other services include shaves, scalp treatment, and facials. Some barbers also sell lotions, tonics, and other cosmetic supplies.

Requirements
1.  Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
2.  Graduate from an accredited barber school.
3.  Pass the written and practical examination.

Restrictions
Habitual alcohol or drug consumption.
Unprofessional conduct, incompetence, or gross malpractice.
Making a false statement on an application to the Board.

School Located in Wyoming
There are no barber schools in Wyoming.

License
A license to practice as a barber in Wyoming must be obtained from the State Barber Examiner’s Board.

Examination
The examination is given twice a year during April and October, weather permitting. Testing can be administered more often and wherever necessary.
