Job Description
Audiologists and speech pathologists help people with speech, language, or hearing
problems by examining the patient, diagnosing the disorder, and providing treatment.
Requirements
1. Completion of a Masters degree in audiology or speech pathology at an
accredited university.
2. Completion of a one-year clinical fellowship (9 months of which is full-time
employment).
3. Pass a national examination given by the American Speech and Hearing
Association.

Those employed in private practice or community centers must be licensed by the
State Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology.

The examination is given in Boulder, Colorado in the Spring and Fall.
