WYOMING UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE WAGE
RECORD SUMMARY STATISTICS
Wage record summary statistics were first published in the May 1995 issue of
Wyoming Labor Force Trends. The information presented in this issue of Trends shows changes that have been made to
the wage record database since the end of March (the end of the first quarter of 1995). These
changes are caused by Unemployment Insurance reports that have been returned late, required
corrections or have otherwise been delayed.
More accurate information becomes available each quarter as Research & Planning
"downloads" the oldest quarter for analysis before it is dropped off the mainframe. The data
presented below and at right is updated information. For example, data for fourth quarter 1993
has just become finalized as it has been removed from the mainframe computer. The other
quarters have been adjusted as new information has become available since we first published the
wage record summary statistics. After the end of October of this year (the end of the third
quarter), the wage record data for first quarter 1994 will become finalized. (See "Wyoming
Unemployment Wage Record Update" in the November 1995 issue of Trends.)
Research & Planning continues to monitor this data and we will provide the readers of Trends
with updated information achieved through wage record analysis. Refer to "Wyoming
Unemployment Insurance Wage Record Summary Statistics: A New Way to Look at Wyoming"
in the May 1995 issue of Trends for a detailed explanation of wage records and potential uses of
the data, and see the "General Definition of Terms Used in the Wage Record Tables" for detailed
information about abbreviations and terms used in the "Wage Record Tables".
