Laura Yetter finished her master of science degree in economics from the University of Wyoming in 2006. Her master’s thesis was published in the Journal of Public Finance in 2007, and she has worked in many different industries such as health care, taxation, energy, public utilities, and now in workforce services as an economic research analyst and/or principal statistician since finishing her M.S.
A Wyoming native, Laura was in Laramie for six years for her undergraduate and graduate studies, and then worked in Cheyenne until she moved to Casper three years ago. She joined Research & Planning in February 2021 as a senior economist. Laura has focused on workplace safety projects and research, unemployment claims, and employment projections in her short time with R&P. When Laura isn’t at work analyzing this subject or that, you can find her outdoors mountain biking, skiing, hiking, kayaking, and always walking with her dogs. After twenty-one years of being a “dog mom”, Laura and her partner Mathies are expecting their first child in October. The dogs will be the “furry siblings” always.
